Last week was Relay for Life and although it rained I was very happy with all the amazing people involved with it that event and kept walking and running even in the dismal weather. It has finally been confirmed by the Dean of the Graduate School, Dr. Hsu, that the future president of GSA will not be a GA position, but rather a tuition scholarship, which is still exciting news for the organization since we are still consider new! Read more about Graduate Senator Report Week 5
This past week has been a good one. I am currently waiting to hear back from a few professors to see if they will be able to sit in on the discussion panel. From there, a date will be set and the rest of the panel will be found. By the way things are going, this event should be happening week 8 or week 9.
The DSAC is looking for new memebrs for next year's Council. We have been handing out fliers and information to students within the College of Education and Human Services to try and get people interested in being a part of if the DSAC. Read more about CEHS Report Week 5
It has been a crazy week already and it's not even over yet! I presented CSA's budget to the SOBC committee this week. Cross your fingers for us!
I've spent several hours getting to know several candidates for the 2012-2013 Commuter Senator this week. It was so refreshing to see people so excited to serve their school.

The past couple weeks have been pretty laid back but things are going to begin rolling soon. First and foremost, applications for Speaker and Asst. Speaker of the HOR are due TOMORROW at 5PM! The debates will be held next week, April 25th at 6:00pm! This past week I have been incontact with the student affairs coordinator about the pinning ceremony. They have decided to shorten the amount of speakers, hoping that this will improve the ceremony.
I also met with my DSAB, in which we discussed having a study session for the nursing students doing assessment check-offs, starting a nursing open house for the incoming students, and also have been talking about the possibility of making a tobacco free requirement for entry into the program.
