Welcome Back! Report #1

Welcome Back Raiders!!!

Well it has been a busy summer and I have been working on many projects for the House of Representatives and Student Government as a whole. I am looking forward to this year. Over the summer and the past couple of weeks, I have been getting the “House in order” so to speak and preparing for the first HOR meeting which was held last week! We had an excellent turnout and I’m looking forward to some great work by the student organizations!

Here are some of the projects I’ve been working on

-Working with Matt Burks to get the HOR website merged with the SG website
-Looking into a cheaper rate for Student Organizations when it comes to printing costs
-Working with Brandy Zapata, Asst. Speaker of the House, to get the Secretary of the House apps out!
-House Legislation Committee
-Printing Requests (be sure to use the online form to fill those out!)
-Looking into Hammock vandalism and next steps to take
-Student Org. Complex reconstruction with Zack, Galen, Christian, and others

I also attended all the First Weekend Activities, as well as Fall Fest on Friday! The next House of Representatives meeting will be held on September 21^st in the Student Union Atrium! Please email me if you have any questions, suggestions, or concerns.
