Progress Points
To view your current amount of Progress Points, click on the "My Points" link in the left-hand navigation menu. Points are subject to moderation by the Chief of Staff.
Scroll down and click on the type of Progress Points you want to submit. You will be taken to a submission page.

Meet and Greet
Set up a Student Government table with literature inside or outside the buildings where most of your constituents concentrate. This is to allow you to introduce yourself, student government, your plans, your goals, and projects to your constituents. This should be time for you to obtain opinions from the Wright State population on your goals and future achievements. If your position does not readily accommodate this you can team up with another cabinet or senate member.Points per meet and greet: 10 Max Total per Quarter: 30

Meet with Administrative Unit’s Head
Meet with Administrative Unit’s Head and report to SG any progress made concerning your goals. Must be verified! This is includes your college Dean (Senate) and higher up Wright State faculty. This must concern important issues on campus and student government material. The SG advisors do not count in this category.Points per meeting: 10 Max Total per Quarter: 30

Comprehensive Review of a University Service
Create a comprehensive report of a university service in coordination with the e-board and present it to SG with recommendations for improvement.Points per review: 30 Max Total per Quarter: 30

Achieve Your Goals
Achieve one of your quarter’s goals. Must be approved by the Chief of Staff.Points per goal: 10 Max Total per Quarter: 120

SG Casual Fridays: Spirit Wear
SG will now have the option of dressing casually on Fridays in the office. T- shirts and jeans are acceptable. However, you are encouraged to use this casual opportunity to wear spirit wear: any WSU branded t-shirt, sweatshirt, polo, track jacket, etc., you will earn points for demonstrating school spirit.Points per Friday: 2 Max Total per Quarter: 20

Adopt a Student Organization
It’s simple, pick a student organization and make them your own. There are TONS of them on and around campus. To adopt one, simply get in touch with the organization’s president, introduce yourself and let them know you want to work with them. Do not be offended if some organizations do not want you heavily involved. You may not adopt an organization in which you hold an eboard or officer position. When initially contacting the student organization you must cc the Chief of Staff. Individual restrictions may apply, due to the nature of some organizations. Please contact the Chief of Staff if you are unsure if it is a good idea to adopt a specific organization.Points per org: 30 Max Total per Year: 60

Attend an Adopted Student Organization Meeting/Event
Attend a general organization meeting, eboard meeting, or general event for your adopted student organization. For the general meetings/events you must have a hand in helping plan the meeting/event. For the eboard meeting you must be a productive and active participant.Points per meeting: 5 Max Total per Quarter: 75

Support Raider Athletics
Attend any athletic event or club sporting event. You must stay for the at least one hour or more than 75% of the event, which ever is greater.Points per event: 3 Max Total per Quarter: 30

House of Representatives Meeting
Attend a house of representatives meeting. You must stay the entire duration of the meeting. This excludes the speaker of the house and the assistant speaker of the house.Points per meeting: 3 Max Total per Quarter: 30

Guardian Article
We will have a strong relationship with the Guardian this year so that more of the student body can stay informed in what student government is achieving. Your story must first go through the Director of Public Relations and be approved before being brought to the Guardian. Get in touch with the Guardian about what your working on, your goals, achievements, and what implications this will have on the student body. You will only receive points if your story is actually run. Quick mentions of your name are not enough to count for the full 30 points. However, depending upon what the article entails you may receive a portion of the points.Points per article: 30 Max Total per Quarter: 60

Campus Voice Article
The Guardian is our best avenue for informing the entire student body about things going on campus. Furthermore, they’re really active in hunting down stories and looking for things to report on. So get in touch with them and let them know what you’re working on and the implications that what you’re doing can have on the student body. If you can convince them to put your story in the paper, it will get you points! Quick mentions of your name are not enough to count for the full 20 points. Director of Public Relations points vary in this category due to the nature of his paid position.Points per article: 20 Max Total per Quarter: 100

Support WSU Student Programming
Having an SG presence at all major student programming events is important!! This category includes any student events- social, informational, or academic – that is not included in your adopted org’s events or SG events. You may not include points for events that are put on by an org that you are an executive board member of, or that you are otherwise required to attend. You must stay at least 1 hour or for more than 75% of the event, which ever is greater. Some events will be worth more, the increased values will be listed a head of time and available to all the members.Points per meeting: 3 Max Total per Quarter: 30

Participating On Air at WWSU
WWSU is another major partner of SG that informs the entire student body about campus issues. This must be SG related about campus issues. Please contact the WWSU general manager if you would like a chance to voice any Wright State concerns over the radio. DJing the music does not count towards these points.Points per airing: 20 Max Total per Quarter: 80

New Creative Project
Come up with a new idea for your position that goes above and beyond the average standard. Implement your idea. The project must be approved by the Vice President (Senate) or the President/Chief of Staff (Cabinet).Points per project: 30 Max Total per Quarter: 120

Additional In-Office Hours
Additional In-Office Hours performed above your required minimum.Points per hour: 2 Max Total per Quarter: 40

Additional Out-of-Office Hours

Attend a Faculty Committee Meeting For Another SG Member
Things come up, it happens. And there is almost always someone looking for a person to attend their committee meeting for them. It’s very important that we keep SG actively involved in all areas of the university. Keep in mind this is to increase/maintain our presence on campus.Points per meeting: 10 Max Total per Quarter: 100

Create a New College Tradition or New DSAB Tradition
Create a new event that is outside the box. It must attract members of your specific college to attend. This should take a great deal of planning and collaboration. This event should be intended to repeat for year’s to come.Points per tradition: 40 Max Total per Quarter: 40

Raise Money for SG Scholarship
Raise $10 for the Student Government Scholarship. Your own contributions do not count except for Relay 4 Life.Points per $10: 2 Max Total per Quarter: 40

Write a Resolution Improving Wright State
This is specifically if you are the lead on the resolution. The amount of resolutions passed this year will be higher than last years, however resolutions should never be brought up for only obtaining points. The resolution must be well thought out. Opinions from other students inside and outside of student government members must be obtained. An additional 10 points will be added if the resolution passes the senate and is signed by the president.Points per resolution: 30 Max Total per Quarter: 120

Sponsor a Resolution Improving Wright State
This is if you have given substantial input towards the resolution and choose to sponsor the resolution. Opinions from other students inside and outside of student government members must be obtained specifically from your constituents.Points per resolution: 10 Max Total per Quarter: 50

Collaborate With Another Organization on an Event
Collaboration internally and externally this year is key. Collaborate with another organization on an event that pertains to your constituents.Points per event: 30 Max Total per Quarter: 120 (+10 if more than 3 other orgs)

As a Senator you should be active within your college’s DSAB. You must help plan and execute meetings for an effective DSAB within your college. You cannot double dip a DSAB meeting for these points and a meeting with the Dean.Points per meeting: 10 Max Total per Quarter: 100
