President Daniel Thomas- We will have a 2 week trial period of counting SG meetings toward one office hour a week for members. This will continue as long as members contribute and respect one another during meetings. I am also meeting with cabinet members to do a one on one session. If you have not set a meeting with me please do so.
VP Josh Anderson- I have started doing Senate one on ones with members. If you have not set a meeting time with me please talk to me. I also have been helping Rayne with a logo project.
Chief of Staff Kelli Paul- Just a reminder please look over the progress information in your SG binders. To submit progress reports there is an application on the SG website. This is separate from bi-weekly reports.
Chief Justice Paul Reed- I went to the e-board meeting on Tuesday morning and I’m getting things ready for elections. Applications are now online! I’m also working with Tiffany to send out election information to campus voice since a lot of freshmen were interested. We will have a few copies of the applications at our fall fest table.
Director of Internal Affairs Ashley Gerten- I had a meeting with Gary about the budget and other things for my position. I just finished a receipt form that everyone will fill out after they buy things with the pro-card. These forms will be by the mailboxes in the office along with the form to take out the pro-card. If you need help with filling any of the paperwork out let me know. Finally I am working on updating the budget.
*Committee Reports: N/A
*Semester Transition Reports: N/A
*Cabinet Reports:
Speaker of the House Marissa Morton- I am getting together with Vicki H to go over fall events and I set up my one on one with Dan. I am also working on some rick assessment and I am working with Joel to change HOR and to see if we can get resolutions to go to HOR so student’s leaders know what’s going on.
Assistant Speaker of the House Joel Parker: N/A
Director of Disability Affairs Nathan Turner- Goals: Establish an advisory council and work on an application, which is currently underway, and increase communication between the office of disability services and the students that use that office.
Director of International Affairs Rayne Bozeman- Had my one on one with Dan and I’m currently working on a buddy system for international students. If anyone is interested or know of people that would like to be involved let me know.
Director of Public Relations: I did my one on one with Dan and Dan has asked me to be the Campus Voice administrator. If anyone needs volunteers or needs to utilize CV just let me know. I am also working on game night for Homecoming and I’m trying to get more orgs involved with it. Finally, I am working on the bi-weekly newsletter. If you haven’t already please send me your bio and 3 goals so I can include you in the newsletter.
Director of Student Affairs Nick Warrington- I just got word that all beds are full in the resident halls!! I am putting together the TV surveys for the student union. I will distribute them by the end of the week. These surveys will be in SG member’s mailboxes to pass out during classes. I am also working on the floor plan of the student union to see where to place the TV’s. I talked to students in classes and a few of them were upset that the mud volleyball courts were not relocated due to the new parking lot. SG polo’s will hopefully be in by the next SG meeting.
Associate Director of Student Affairs Adam Verdecchia- I am helping Nick with the TV surveys and I am starting a Committee for Student Affairs. Ryan Phipps and I had our first meeting and we want to focus on residents and commuters separately to focus on what each groups concerns are.
Director of Web Communications Josh Cope- I have been helping SG members with E-punch, passwords, the SG website, and I’m currently training Jon for my position.
Director of Diversity Affairs Rod Harris- I sent out an email to start a diversity council committee. The committee will focus on making Student Government and Wright State more collaborative. If anyone is interested let me know.
Director of Academic Affairs Jon Maze- I am working to create banner ads reminding students about the semester transition. I am also working on having a forum on the semester transition to see what students concerns are. I also want this forum to be a fun event that students will come out to just enjoy.

College of Engineering and Computer Science Costa Alimonos- I was a first weekend peer leader so I helped with that all weekend. I am getting the deans students committee started and a few goals I have are getting swipe card access to get into the engineering building after 9PM. Still working on the stapler and I want to increase club participation with my college.
College of Liberal Arts Jamie Plamondon- I just got back from vacation which I was on all summer. I am working on talking to other COLA groups to get a social going. I am also going to get together with the deans student advisory board.
College of Nursing and Health Anna Potters- I participated in first weekend events. CoNH has added additional evening hours, faculty and 3 GTA positions to the skills lab per student requests over summer quarter. WSSNA sponsored a blood drive at the end of July and actually had to turn volunteers away due to the amazing turn out. I have been in contact with the Director of student and alumni affairs for CoNH and she has directed me to the faculty contact to merge the nursing council into WSSNA. I am waiting to hear back from the Student & Fiscal Affairs Staff Associate to see if administration will back this decision. The president of WSSNA has already agreed and reviewed the goals of the old Nursing Council and informed me that these are already encompassed by WSSNA. Finally, I am also setting up a meeting with the dean of CoNH.
College of Science of Math Steve Young- I helped out with first weekend events and I am getting the deans circle started. I am planning a social event that will get the college of science and math orgs involved. I also would like the college of engineering and computer science orgs to come.
