CoLA Weekly Report
The first week of school brought with it a whirlwind of activity and ideas as I'm trying to get adjusted to the new schedule and the weather. While the quarter is still young, it seems that all of Student Government has hit the ground running. After a conference with Nick, we both hammered out a couple things that are going to be my foci for the upcoming quarter (in no particular order):
- Maintain the Spanish SI and TA system that was put into place during Intersession
- Pick up where we left off with usher sign-ups for seasonal shows
- Adding Japanese as a designated major within the College of Liberal Arts
While these are the main issues that have come up within the college-at-large, I'm also looking forward to keeping up an active Dean Student Advisory Board. Our goals include:
- Finally finishing our website
- Putting on a writing contest for fiction and poetry
- Planning for a Spring Art exhibit relating to social justice awareness
That's it for week 2.
