Drastic Improvements in Pilot
Over Term 1 in the medical school, I spent a considerable amount of time as Academic Representative of the Class of 2014 working with the administration and technical staff to improve the student experience with Pilot, WSUs online course-management program. Through multiple discussions, focus groups and constant feedback, ratings for Pilot amongs MS2 students (who were "in love" with the old WebCT system) have gone up dramatically since the beginning of the year. MS1 students, who did not know the old system, are very happy with Pilot.
We will continue to work to improve Pilot and to use it to its full potential, as it is a very powerful program that offers many advantages over our old system. It is exciting to see such drastic changes in so short of time.
